Finland Studies for Nepali Students: Complete Guide 2026

Finland is one of the most popular study-abroad destinations for international students from all over the world. Finland has a total of 35 recognized universities (13 research universities and 22 universities of applied sciences), of which 9 rank in the top 1000 in the QS World University Ranking 2027, among which 6 are ranked in the top 500. While other countries like the USA and UK dominate in terms of volume, the ratio of recognized universities to the ones ranked in the top 1000 is remarkable. Finland is home to over 30,000 international students, and over 600 English-taught courses are available across the 35 universities. From an academic point of view alone, Finland is one of the best choices an international student can make when it comes to studying abroad.
