Work restrictions and Post Study Work

Work restrictions for international students.

International Students are permitted to work 20 hours a week for the entire duration of their Studies. As UK universities run for only 9 months a year, international students can work full-time during the 3-month summer vacation. (source: Gov. UK).

What is a PSW?

Post-study work visa, widely known as PSW, is the work permit that international students can apply for after the completion of their course. In the UK, international students are granted an 18-month post-study work period where they can freely work full-time and are not bound by the 20-hour-a-week limit.
